VOCATIONAL TRAINING
Our programs are designed to teach our students a vocation so that they can become productive citizens. Our efforts are to take orphans with little or no future and give them a chance for a better life. We know that a hands-on education will broaden their horizons and move them into the mainstream of society and out of poverty. Our hope is that we can raise the standard of living in our country through our efforts.

These products are sold at various markets in the country and are also exported to other countries. Students with COVTA can express their artistry in weaving. Even the students can teach the proper techniques to other students so that they can be successful. This is an opportunity for our students to give back to the community.

SILK WEAVING

Silk weaving is a unique business in Cambodia. It is both a residential and a factory driven industry. There are many different styles and patterns in the production of these products. COVTA will be training our students who have the dexterity to become a weaver.

HEALTH CARE PROGRAMS
Our health care professional training is our most comprehensive program. There are four areas of study that will benefit our students and the people they will be caring for locally. The areas:

Medical Administrative Assistant
Learn the required office skills of a healthcare professional with improved computer skills. Our students will also be exposed to the growing importance of security and privacy of medical records.

Medical Assisting
Learn the systems of the human body and how they operate. Additionally, they will acquire office skills and study the business side of medial practices.

Medical Coding and Billing
These are advanced courses which will be developed in the future. These programs are very important to Cambodia because of the increase in global diseases which are affecting all of Southeast Asia. Our programs are structured to attempt to stem the tide of these invasive diseases.

They will, in this program, learn the required skills that will allow them to pursue a career in Coding. You will receive instruction in specific Microsoft Office software applications, and gain the necessary core knowledge and skills in Medical Terminology, Medical Billing, and Pharmacology. Additionally, they will be exposed to the growing importance of security and privacy of medical records - HIPAA.

COMPUTER AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Computer technology has become essential in the fast-paced global economy. Our students will be taught the basic skills of understanding and operating computer hardware and software. Additional or advanced training for people with a higher aptitude will be considered in the future.

Oracle Database Administrator
In this program, they will learn Linux fundamentals, networking architectures and structures, PL/SQL database administrative tasks, strategies for backing up a database, crash recovery procedures, security measures and ways to improve database performance. In addition, the program prepares you for the Oracle OCP certification.

PC & Networking Administration
Building on the PC & Networking Support classes, this program trains students in the skills necessary to Implement and Administer Windows 2003 Networking and Operating Systems Infrastructure. Students may pursue their Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) Certification upon successful completion of this program.

PC & Networking Design
Building on the PC & Networking Administration classes, this program trains students in the skills necessary to Design and Deploy Microsoft 2003 Networking and Operating systems. Students may pursue the most advanced certification from Microsoft - The Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) upon successful completion of this program.

PC & Networking Design with Security
Building on the PC & Networking Design classes, this program trains students in the skills necessary to Design and Analyze Network Security systems. Students may pursue their Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP) certification upon successful completion of this program.

PC & Networking Support
The PC & Networking Support program helps students prepare for examinations, which lead to the A+, Network+ and Linux+ Certifications, industry-wide vendor neutral, developed and sponsored by the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA). These credentials recognize a higher level of training in the service and support field. This program also prepares students for the Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification.

VISUAL COMMUNICATION
These programs involve digital 3-D design, digital graphic design, digital multimedia and web design, and digital video and animation design. These programs will become available at a future date.

Digital 3-D Design
Our Digital 3-D Design program provides you with a solid foundation in the art of interactive design, computer imaging essentials, 3D animation, character drawing, scripting and storyboarding as well as production delivery. Prerequisite: Digital Graphic Design and Digital Video & Animation or experience in these fields.

Digital Graphic Design
Our Digital Graphic Design program provides the students with a solid foundation in design, typography, color, illustration, photography, production, output and more. Trained in today's most widely used graphics suite from Adobe, they will have the skills needed to start their career in graphics.

Digital Multimedia and Web Design
Our Multimedia & Web Design program provides the students with a solid foundation in visual information & design, computer illustration and Photoshop, web site design, usability and graphics as well as interface design, multimedia and 2D animation, cartooning, and portfolio development. Prerequisite: Graphic Design program or experience in Graphic Design.

Digital Video and Animation Design
Our Video & Animation Design program provides trainees with a solid foundation in video post-production, computer illustration and Photoshop, web site design, usability and graphics as well as interface design, motion graphics for video, video editing and effects as well as production delivery. Trained in Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects, this program provides them the skills they need to start or advance their career in Digital Video & Animation Design. Prerequisite: Digital Graphic Design or experience in Graphic Design.

AUTO MECHANIC TECHNOLOGY
Auto Mechanics are in worldwide demand with the growing use of automobiles and trucks nationally and internationally. All forms of repairs will be learned and performed by the students as listed below:

ELECTRONICS TECHNOLOGY
Electronics training for the future employment of the students is essential. Hands-on training programs will allow the orphans to learn a skill which can be used in building electronic product systems which can be distributed worldwide.

LANDSCAPE AND GARDEN
Landscape management is a skill that is very challenging in Southeast Asia. With the wide variety of flora in the region, it is a never-ending task to prepare and arrange landscapes and gardens. It is an occupation that affects the local communities and the national parks, all of which are important in attracting tourists.

ART
Art courses will be offered and taught by experienced instructors who will train all the students in the basics of the culture and its art. Students will be taught by members of the local arts community.

TOURISM
Tourism is a growing industry in the entire region. The students will become knowledgeable about the people who come to visit the country. They will also work closely with local agents as part of the school program.

WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATION
TECHNOLOGY Learning and teaching about the wireless communication systems are very challenging and rewarding, including repairing, unlocking, updating software, and installing ring tones. Orphans can complete this basic training in a short period of time and apply the acquired knowledge to use effectively right away. They can earn either salary or by piece work at retail or at wholesale stores.
